Holmes Report Names Zeno Group Public Relations the Creative Agency of the Year
Zeno Group staffers, or Zenoids as I like to call us, woke up to more big news this morning, an email from CEO Barby Siegel announcing SABRE specialist agency winners – including Zeno for Creative Agency of the Year!
Paul Holmes cited a bevy of new business acquisitions – like Cepia (creator of Zhu Zhu pets), Sleepy’s, Sobieski Vodka and Women’s Sports Foundation – among many, many other reasons for awarding Zeno Group with this top honor.
Zeno, the Comeback Kid
SABRE acknowledged an incredible, standout comeback by the agency in 2010. Holmes suggested that what started as a “‘conflict’ brand” for our parent company Edelman, has “reestablished itself as a serious competitor” in the US public relations industry. And despite the economic downtown that cut agency revenues in half mid-decade, Zeno saw an impressive 30 percent growth in 2010 following Barby’s appointment to CEO 18 months ago.
Holmes also pointed out Zeno’s smart hires of industry veterans like Ame Wadler and Mark O’Connor, as well as our recent “slew of awards…and impressive haul of four [SABRE] nominations this year.”
Congratulations again to the following Zeno teams for their finalist standings:
- Zeno Chicago & Team Zhu Zhu – Finalist, Gold SABRE Award in the Blogger Outreach category
- Zeno Washington, D.C. – Gold SABRE Award winner in the Marketing to Men category for the American Urological Association Foundation
- Zeno Los Angeles & Team T-mobile – Finalist for a Silver SABRE Award in the Telecommunications category for T-Mobile
- Zeno’s Team Seattle’s Best Coffee – Finalist for a Gold SABRE Award in the Publicity Stunt category for Seattle’s Best Coffee
