Julia Hapsari of Zeno Stratcom: Edelman’s SEA Q Champ

Julia Hapsari - Q ChampOn June 28, Edelman SEA held the fifth annual EDDIES Awards to celebrate the best we have to offer our clients. Specifically, awards for best thinking, best creativity and best people throughout the region’s Edelman and Zeno branches were handed out to well-deserving employees.  There were three categories in the SEA Award which consisted of Client Campaign with the Greatest Business Impact, Most Creative Client Campaign and Edelman Q Champ.

Zeno Stratcom was delighted that one of our very own Account Executives, Julia Hapsari, won the Edelman Q Champ Award for her outstanding work leading the Frisian Flag SEANUTS (South East Asian Nutrition Surveys) team and gaining the trust of her client and colleagues alike. As her work illustrates, Julia stands for Edelman’s three Quality pillars: Quality of Basics, Quality of Thinking and Quality of Creativity.  Receiving this award means she is now in the running for the “Dan Award 2013”

Julia joined Zeno Stratcom in December 2011, and since then she has handled the Frisian Flag account.  While it may sound like an easy job seeing as how Julia is only handling one account, she not only manages the client’s corporate PR but also its brand PR, which consists of three brands.

Her peak moment with Frisian Flag came when corporate crises began to surface. There were 3 crises within 6 months involving a labor strike, social media backlash and counterfeit packaging. Despite the client’s demanding and complex nature, Julia managed to single-handedly lead a team of only two members.  During the crisis, Julia was relentless in her work ethic and tirelessly managed everything from media relations, correspondence with clients – often late into the night –, document development for the clients’ perusal as well as constant traditional media and social media monitoring.

Nevertheless, this challenging experience enabled Julia to not only learn about the parenting, nutrition and wellness industry, but also afforded her the chance to expand her scope of work and learn about crisis management on top of corporate and brand PR.

With her fearless and bubbly personality, Julia has helped contribute to the development of fellow Zenoids in Jakarta. Julia initiated a weekly media sharing session to ensure Zenoids are abreast all media publications, including social media, and she also held a training session for Account Executives.

In her spare time, Julia likes to read novels and stands by this quote to motivate her each and every day: “Everything will be okay in the end; if it’s not okay, it’s not the end.”
