#Fearless4Friday: Zeno Dallas Names Lone Star State 'Land of Opportunity'
Staying on top of the latest news is one of our main priorities in the PR industry. As seasoned industry professionals, we continually see companies seeking new opportunities in marketable locations throughout the U.S. to expand their business. With that being said, we like to think Dallas Forth Worth metroplex, or as the locals refer to it – DFW, as the land of opportunity. The likes of New York, Los Angeles and Chicago are typically known as thriving PR markets, but we also have a lot to offer in DFW.
1. Sports and Event Marketing
Our Dallas office is the home for key Zenoids in our Sports and Lifestyle practice due to the endless sports and event marketing opportunities in Texas. AT&T Stadium broke attendance records by hosting the NCAA Final Four this year, attracting people and marketers from all over the world but that’s not all….The Texas Motor Speedway hosts the Duck Commander 500 race each year, and the Super Bowl in 2011. We’re also looking forward to the 2015 College Football Playoffand the 50th Academy of Country Music Awards that will host their largest show yet here in the DFW area. For those a little less sports-minded, the beloved State Fair of Texas is the largest in the country and brings in three million fried-food-loving fans annually!
2. New Business Opportunities
According to The Dallas Morning News, Texas leads the nation in job growth adding close to 322,400 workers in the last year alone and PR professionals are taking notice. The area offers a vastly growing region that is home to several corporate headquarters and more than 15 Fortune 500 companies. Not to mention the state was recently announced to be slated as the new home of Toyota North America, one of the leading global automotive manufacturers. This leverages opportunity for new business partnerships and global networking. We’re happy to welcome everyone with our Southern hospitality and down-home cooking.
3. International Travel
With a booming market, Texas accommodates new businesses and lots of travel (we can all relate to spending a considerable amount of time traveling across the country as PR executives). The Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is the fifth busiest airport in the United States…if this airport isn’t big enough for ya, we also have the iconic Love Field airport right in the center of town if you’re in the mood for adventure.
4. A Melting Pot of Demographics and Businesses
While Texas has earned a reputation of being populated by country folk and conservatives, it has also developed into a melting pot of culture. We’ve found that most people living in DFW have moved to Texas from other states, just like us in the Zeno Dallas office. And, with the Hispanic population peaking every year, Texas has accommodated parts of the Hispanic culture allowing us to bring diversity and opportunity to our DFW head-quartered clients, Dickies and Pizza Hut.
Between a thriving job market, cultural fusion, and endless options for entertainment, we are proud to be a part of the vibrant DFW area. Relative to the PR industry, Dallas and its hundreds of surrounding suburbs will begin to enter the conversation when talking about national opportunities and optimal brand exposure.
The state is fearlessly tackling new markets, new people and new challenges, and once again proving everything is bigger in Texas.
